A Guide to Driving in Spain – Part Three: Roundabouts

Roundabouts:

Roundabouts are great. With enough space for several lanes of traffic and none of those pointless white lines on them to distract you, you can concentrate on getting around this omelet shaped bad boy in peace.

1. When leaving the roundabout, you’re going to have to remember some of the tips we already learned. Especially about indicating and waiting until the last possible moment to go through the traffic and get to your desired exit.
2. When going straight over a roundabout, I find it best to imagine there are no cars there, just decide how you want to go around the thing and stick to it.       
3. Don’t worry if people start beeping you and giving you any shit. They are idiots and need to watch where they’re going.
4. There is some fantastic artwork at roundabouts across Spain, don’t let any opportunity to see it pass you by, take your eyes off the road and take in its splendor.
