Sandra Pollock OBE

Sandra has an extensive background as an Executive and Strategic Business Advisor, winning a variety of awards across the board. A strong advocate and representative for women and equality.
Sandra founded the East Midlands Women’s Awards, is a motivational speaker, Author, Radio, and TV Presenter. She teamed up with her daughter Jerusha to create SanRoo publishing.
Sandra has a Master of Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Leicester. In 2021 Sandra was awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to Equality.
Jerusha Barnett-Cameron
Co-Founder, Author, Editor, and Illustrator

An author, illustrator and editor, Jerusha is the other side of this mother-daughter-founded company. Jerusha had two books published by the age of 15, her first at thirteen. Along with creating the stories, she also illustrated the cover and inside images for both her books.
Jerusha has a BA Hons in Creative Writing from the University of Winchester. She has a fresh and young perspective.

Shannon Dakins

I am an avid book lover who reads mainly YA fantasy, romance, and contemporary novels. I own social media accounts on Instagram (@shannoninbookland) and TikTok (@shannonsinbookland) where I share my love of books with the community. I mainly post book reviews, recommendations, and other bookish content. Also, I love to write. I have since I was very young and one day, I hope to publish my own book.
Suzanne Woolley

Editor in Chief of SanRoo publishing
A Leicester based poet with a variety of published work and a BA in Creative Writing, Suzanne has taken her passions to SanRoo publishing. Years of teaching, writing and performing within the literary world has given her a strong voice within the community.
Suzanne has a Masters in Creative Writing from the University of Leicester.
Andrew Dennison

Script Editor
Andrew Dennison is a young writer concerned with the politics, sexuality and gender in contemporary society.
Andrew is studying for his Masters in English and his dissertation is a creative cross-examination of neo-fascism, traditional masculinity and the rise of intolerance. With a degree in Drama and English, Andrew is a specialist in non-naturalistic styles of theatre, highly influenced by artists such as Bertolt Brecht and Steven Berkoff. He has worked alongside youth theatre groups as well as MA students to create and edit pieces for performance.
A writer and performer himself we are delighted to have him on the SanRoo publishing team.
Amirah Mohiddin

Fiction Editor (with a specialism in Young Adult and Children’s)
Amirah Mohiddin has a BA in English with Creative Writing.
She is a prose writer, with short stories and reviews published. Amirah is also working on a Young Adult novel. Her goal is to add more colour to literature and in particular give a voice to silenced women, empowering them with a space where they can be heard at SanRoo publishing. She loves writing and editing works and has experience with a range of different publishing companies, working as an editor, judge, and publicist.
Amirah has a Masters in Creative Writing from the University of Leicester.
Charis Buckingham

Fiction Editor (with a specialism in Historical and Fantasy)
An aspiring author having completed a BA in English and history, she specialises in historical fiction and young adult fantasy.
Her writing varies and she is currently both writing a novel and completing shorter fiction for publication.
She is passionate about bringing authors and poets together and opening the publishing market to all. Her values and aspirations are a great fit with the SanRoo ethos. Charis has a Masters in Creative Writing from the University of Leicester.
