Hearing Your Call To Write
Unclimbable manmade mountainsides,
Leading to most public domains,
As old as the birth of human civilization,
Still visible in ancient remains.
One small step for some men daily,
Some take two at a time,
Others dance up and down them,
But I’m allergic to the climb.
Red light on the pitch black horizon,
Glowing like the fires of hell,
Clouds billowing over like rough waves,
The heavy darkness that surrounds,
I sit quietly in anticipated wait,
Stars above me wink while they watch,
their light’s years too late,
The reflected vista shown of the place I used to be,
A glance into my past and a former version of me,
